Academy of Arts at the University of Banja Luka
The Western Balkans Fund has supported Jazz Art’s new project “In Search of Our Musical Roots”. Beside Jazz Art, the project partners of the project are the Faculty of Music, Belgrade, Serbia, the University “Goce Delcev” Music Academy of Stip, North Macedonia, the Academy of Arts at the University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Syri Blu cultural organization, Tirana, Albania. We will implement the project within eight months, from April to December 2022.
Over 250 organizations from the Western Balkans applied and 30 Winning Projects are listed within the 4th Call for Proposals, the first to be co-funded by the European Union through IPA – Instrument for Pre -Accession Assistance.
At a ceremony in Tirana last week, Maja Popovic, President of Jazz Art, received the grant award. The link to the news can be found here.
This is the second time that our organization has received a grant from the Western Balkans Fund. Last year, the Balkan Youth Jazz Orchestra project was successfully realized.
The Western Balkans Fund is an inter-governmental organization, initiative of the ministries of foreign affairs of six regional countries; The Fund’s main objective is to boost cooperation between its members, to strengthen relations and regional cohesion, to advance integration into the European Union.
