About the manifestation

The scientific conference "Vlado S. Milošević: ethnomusicologist, composer and pedagogue - Tradition as inspiration "is held in April as part of the manifestation Vlado S. Miloševic’ Days. The conference is organized by the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republika Srpska and the Musicological Society of Republika Srpska.

The scientific conference and the thematic Proceedings as its integral part are categorized by the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska.

History

The first scientific conference was held on April 20, 2001, to mark the centenary of the birth of Vlado Milošević. The conference gathered influential experts from the region, primarily in Ethnomusicology and Musicology. The scientific conference topics are focused on Vlado Milošević as an ethnomusicologist, composer and pedagogue.

Paper submission

Since 2010, authors can submit various papers. The topic is entitled “Vlado S. Milošević - ethnomusicologist, composer and pedagogue - Tradition as inspiration.” The scientific conference brings together important participants from four fields of music: Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Music Theory, and Music Pedagogy. Also, the Proceedings are published after the conference.
